AP Govt regularises 401 contract teachers
Hyderabad, Nov 5 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Minister D Redya Naik today announced the Government's decision to regularise 401 contract teachers of the ''Girijan Gurukulam schools'' in the State.
He told reporters here that jobs would be provided to as many as 10,000 teachers. He said his department would fill up as many as 3,518 vacancies in the department.
His department was spending 70 per cent of the department's budget of Rs 894.16 crore for education of tribals.
As per the tribal sub-plan, the amount unspent by any of the departments would be reappropriated for improving infrastructure, including roads and drinking water facilities in the tribal areas.
