Afghan national to be released from Amritsar jail

Amritsar, Nov 5 (UNI) An Afghan national, who was under detention at the Central Jail here will fly back home to Kabul on November 12.

Momin will board the flight to Kabul from Delhi, his lawyer Ajay Vermani said here today.

He was arrested by the Border Security Force (BSF) in the Ferozepur sector a few years back and booked under the NDPS Act.

He recently completed his sentence and will be released from jail a day before he flies back to Afghanistan.

Mr Vermani had moved the judicial courts for his release and succeeded in getting a favourable verdict. The lawyer is bearing all the travel expenses of the Afghan national.
