9 killed, 35 injured in road accident
Madhepura, Nov 5 (UNI) At least nine people were killed and 35 others injured when their bus fell into a roadside ditch near Tarha canal under Singheshwar police station in the district today.
Superintendent of Police O N Bhaskra said the accident took place when the driver of the bus lost control over his vehicle, killing nine people on the spot and injuring 35 others.
''The injured passengers have been admitted to various local hospitals,'' he said, adding, senior officers of the district administration were camping on the spot to monitor relief and rescue operation.
The ill-fated bus was on way to Triveniganj from Saharsa.
