Tata Indicom launches operation in Assam

Kolkata, Nov 04 (UNI) Tata Indicom, one of the leading private telecom service provider in the country, has launched operation in the Assam circle.

An official communique here today said, in all, 31 towns of Assam would be covered by the company during the current stage of launch, adding similar services would be shortly introduced in other northeastern states.

The firm had invested over Rs 100 crore in a bid to increase its national footprint, it added.

The products offered by the company include prepaid and postpaid mobile services, Photon-High Speed Internet Access, fixed wireless telephony under the brand name ''Walky Talky''.

The company also announced the launch of Photon high speed Internet access service which could be accessed using two devices-- router for Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs), and the USB modem in case of individual users.
