Punjab CM greets people on Chhath Puja
Chandigarh, Nov 4 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today extended his warm greetings to people, particularly those from Bihar and other parts of the country who are settled in Punjab, on the auspicious occasion on Chhath Puja.
In a message, the Chief Minister said that India was a country bestowed with a unique feature of 'unity in diversity' where people of different faiths, religions and castes celebrate their festivals in unison and perfect harmony.
He hoped that the sacred occasion of Chhath Puja would offer an opportunity to further strengthen the bonds of integrity, compassion, goodwill and brotherhood to demonstrate the true spirit of secularism.
He appealed to the people to celebrate this auspicious occasion rising above the parochial consideration of caste, colour and creed.
