Polish Defence Minister arrives on 3-day visit, meets Antony

New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) Polish Defence Minister Bogdan Klich held wide ranging talks with his Indian counterpart A K Antony here to further bilateral relations, specially in the field of Defence, on his arrival here today on a three-day visit.

Mr Klich, who will also hold talks with the Chairmen of some prominent Defence Public Sector Undertakings including HAL, BEL, BEML and Ordnance Factories Board (OFB), was given a ceremonial Guard of Honour on his arrival at Defence Headquarters in South Block.

Before meeting Mr Antony, the Polish Defence Minister laid wreath at Gandhiji's Samadhi at Rajghat earlier in the day.

Mr Klich's visit follows the 4th meeting of the Joint Working Group (JWG) held in New Delhi last month, during which both sides agreed to consolidate cooperation in Defence Industry and specialised training of their Armed Forces.

The India-Poland JWG on Defence Cooperation was set up in February 2003 during the visit of Polish Prime Minister to India.

Its first meeting was held in April 2006.
