TN: Miscreants set Govt bus on fire

Madurai, Nov 4: Miscreants set afire a State Transport Corporation bus and damaged the windscreens of another bus on Tuesday, Nov 4. Police sources said the luxury town bus was parked outside the Arapalayam bus stand, when an unidentified gang sprinkled kerosene on the seats and set the bus on fire. At least ten seats were destroyed in the fire, which was put out by locals.

In another incident, a mob pelted stones on a government bus damaging the windscreens at Manjalmedu near here, Police has suspected it as the work of Puthiya Tamilagam (PT), volunteers to protest the attack on the convoy of PT founder-president Dr K Krishnasamy, here on Sunday.
