HAL launches special vigilance portal
Bangalore, Nov 4 (UNI) Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) Chairman Ashok K Baweja said transparency in work built credibility and a vibrant organisation.
Speaking after inaugurating the Vigilance Awareness Week here yesterday, he said ''Even when there is no law, there is conscience.
Follow your conscience. That is the best check and balance for an organisation.'' He said HAL's mission was to become a globally competitive aerospace industry. To achieve its objectives, integrity has to be a core value.
A special vigilance portal was hosted on HAL website to explain the procedures for lodging complaints and grievances and to publicise the complaint-handling policy of the company, a company release said.
''We have a well-set mechanism for redressal of grievances of our employees.
''The 'Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers Resolution 2004' (commonly called the 'whistle-blowers resolution') is also in place,'' he added.
