Govt to order probe into Dhulia, Digras riots
Mumbai, Nov 04 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said Government will soon order an independent probe into the recent communal riots at Dhulia and Digras.
The Chief Minister gave this assurance to a delegation of the minority community, led by MPCC President Manikrao Thakare, which called on him at Mantralaya.
Deshmukh said the houses, which were burnt during the riots, would be rebuilt by the state goverment through MHADA.
The members of the delegation complained to Deshmukh of the atrocities by police on the minority community after the riots.
