Punjab: Two killed in seperate mishaps

Phagwara, Nov 3: Two people were killed, including a 14-year-old boy, and a man sustained injuries in two different mishaps on Sunday, Nov 2 night, police on Monday, Nov 3 said. Harmeet, a resident of Santokhpura, alongwith his father was going to pay obeisance in Mandhali, when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck near Phagwara-Banga bypass. The boy died on the spot while his father sustained serious injuries.

In another incident, a girl, identified as Ritu of nearby village Bhanoki, was killed when a speeding truck hit her scooter near JCT bridge on national highways last night.

Police have arrested both the truck drivers.
