Two injured due to clashes in Bengal

Barrackpore, Nov 3 (UNI) At least two people were injured due to bomb splinters during sporadic clashes between the supporters of the ruling party and rival political groups at Kanchrapara under Beejpur police station in North 24 Parganas last night.

Following this, one of the groups today raised blockade at the Kanchrapara Station Road at around 0700 hours, demanding arrest of the supporters of their rival party, sources said.

The supporters of the warring factions hurled bombs against each other in a random manner throughout the night, sources added.

Later, the blockade was removed with the intervention of police, who assured the agitators of taking action against the persons found guilty in this connection, according to sources.

So far, no arrests had been made, in this regard, sources further informed.
