Mumbai, Nov 3 (UNI) Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari and artiste Vijaya Bharati will participate in the 'Chhat Pooja' festival celebration, to be held at Juhu beach in north west Mumbai tomorrow.
Shatrughan Prasad, one of the organisers, told UNI that Tiwari and Bharati have agreed to remain present at the celebration tomorrow evening.
Preperations for the 'pooja' had been completed and thousands of migrant Biharis are expected to perform the 'pooja' on the beach, he added.
Keeping in mind the present law and order situation, especially Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's (MNS) tirade against north Indians, the organisors had held several rounds of talks with Brihanmumbai Collector and top police officials pertaining to security arrangement during the celebration of the festival.
Police said elaborate security arrangements have been made at the Juhu beach.
However, MNS chief Raj Thackeray recently clarified that he had never opposed any religious festival. He had also appealed to his party workers to maintain peace during the Chhat Pooja celebration.
