MMK observes fast against killing of innocent Lankan Tamils

Puducherry, Nov 3 (UNI) The Meenavar Makkal Kazhagam (MMK) today observed a token fast at Sonampalayam, near here, to condemn the killings of innocent Tamils in Sri Lanka.

The agitation was also to protest the attack on Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy.

Meanwhile, employees of the municipality and commune panchayats held a demonstration in front of the office of the Director of Local Administration Department, demanding the immediate implementation of the sixth pay commission recommendations.
