Banerjee, Sircar appointed Secretaries in Tourism,Culture Ministries
New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) Mr Sujit Banerjee and Mr Jawahar Sircar have taken over as Secretary in the Ministries of Tourism and Culture respectively.
Mr Banerjee, a UP cadre officer of the 1972 batch, was earlier Secretary to the Government and Chairperson, National Authority on Chemical Weapons Convention, Cabinet Secretariat. He succeeds Mr Shilabhadra Banerjee who retired on October 31.
Mr Sircar, who belongs to 1975 West Bengal cadre, succeeds Mr Abhijit Sengupta who also retired last month. He was earlier Special Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises.
