German minor girl undergoes medical examination

Panaji, Nov 2 (UNI) The minor German girl, who was allegedly raped by Goa education minister Atanasio Monserrate's son Rohit Monserrate and PWD Minister Churchill Alemao's nephew Warren Alemao, was subjected to a medical examination by a panel of three doctors at the Forensic Department of Goa Medical College (GMC) in Bambolim today.

After completion of the medical examination, that went on for nearly three hours, Advocate Aires Rodrigues, lawyer of Ms Fadela Fuchs, the girl's mother, said rape of the minor girl was established and demanded that police should expedite the case, since statement of the girl was recorded yesterday and medical examination has now been completed.

Police should not succumb to political pressure to save the children of rich and mighty people, Advocate Rodrigues said.

The girl deposed before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Justice Bela Naik at Mapusa in North Goa yesterday. Her statement was recorded in camera for nearly two hours in a closed chamber.

It may be recalled that Ms Fuchs had filed a complaint of rape of her daughter with the Calangute police on October 2.
