Sydney, Nov 2 : Dropping enough hints that there are immediate plans to execute the three Islamic militants accused of 2002 Bali Bombings, in which around 202 people were killed, their family members have been asked to have their last meeting with them before they are placed before a firing squad.

The trio is reportedly expected to be executed within days, possibly overnight.

According to The Australian, the family members of the Bali bombers are making their way to their Central Java prison, as their executions loom. Though it's unclear exactly when the three Islamic militants - Imam Samudra, Amrozi and his brother Mukhlas will go before the firing squad, but the executions are imminent, it added.

The three Islamic militants have been in isolation lock-down at Batu Prison on Nusakambangan Island, off Central Java, since Friday.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened across Indonesia in anticipation of the executions, with security personnel on alert from the island to other potential flashpoints across the country, including reportedly the Australian, British and US embassies.

In Indonesia, death row prisoners normally receive notification 72 hours before they are executed, although there is no requirement to inform their lawyers or families.
