Kerala: Conditional bail granted to Arun

Kochi, Nov 2: Arun Surya, who was arrested on October 31 for sending threatening e-mail to the 'Rastrapati Bhavan', was granted conditional bail.

Ernakulam First Class Magistrate Court last evening granted conditional bail to Arun after an application was moved by his relatives.

As per the conditions of the bail, Arun has to report at the Palarivattom police station once a week, surrender his passport and should not leave the limits of the police station concerned, police said today.

On Friday, Arun was remanded to two-week judicial custody and lodged at the sub-jail here.

The police has arrested 23-year-old Arun for sending mail to President's office on October 24, threatening to eliminate the Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, apart from stating that there would be blasts in New Delhi and Kochi.
