APCC asks partymen not to air statements on Telangana
Hyderabad, Nov 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President D Srinivas today asked partymen to refrain from making comments on the contentious Telangana issue.
Addressing a press conference after a meeting of the office bearers of the party at Gandhi Bhavan here, he said the party High Command would take serious action against the partymen, who gave statements on Telangana issue.
Referring to various statements made by some partymen on Telangana, he said everybody knew that Telagnana had been a sensitive issue right from 1969.
The matter was now under the consideration of AICC President Sonia Gandhi, he added.
He said the High Command had already given a direction to the partymen not to speak or issue statements on Telagana as it was seriouly looking into the matter.
''Everybody has to abide by the decision of the High Command,'' he said, adding he had already brought to the notice of the High Command on the statements given by some partymen.
The High Command would not hesitate to take action against partymen, who disrepsect its directive and give statements regularly and lowering the image of the party, he added.
