Six buffaloes killed as electric post falls on them

Pudukkottai, Nov 1 (UNI) Six buffalloes were killed on the spot and a middle aged farmer was injured when an electrict post fell on them after being hit by a tractor at Sellukudi village near here today.

Police said, the mishap ocurred when the tractor driver who lost control over his vehicle, hit a road side eletric post. The poll fell on the buffelloes and Mariappan.

Mariappan, who sustained serious injuries, was admitted to Government hospital here, police added.

The tractor driver was arrested and investigating was on, police said.
