Reliance Communications distribute gifts to scratch card winners

Patna, Nov 01 (UNI) In a bid to woo more customers in Bihar and Jharkhand during this festive season, the Reliance Communications has introduced a unique 'lucky gift offer' for all its new GSM and CDMA phone customers to give away expensive gift items to the lucky winners.

The scheme which was introduced on September 26 across the two states and for the first time in India, would continue till November 14 to enable more people to participate in the scheme, said Reliance Communications, Regional Head, East, Kursheed Ahmed while handing over gifts to top 20 lucky winners at a function here today.

Claiming that the offer had generated huge response from the general public in both the states, Mr Ahmed later told UNI that more than 200,000 customer had already took part in the scheme and over 1000 of them became the lucky winners of several gift items like silver coins, cameras, DVD players, 21 inch TV sets, Washing machines and even 100 CC motorbykes.

Asked whether they had any more such plans in the pipeline, Mr Ahmed replied in the positive but refused to elaborate further saying they would disclose the plans only after their finalisation.

About the growth tragectory of Reliance GSM and CDMA customer bases in Bihar and Jharkhand, via vis to other eastern states like Orissa and West Bengal, Mr Ahmed said despite stiff competion from several other players their growth was more than satisfactory.

Among the 20 winners who received their prizes, three were women.

Of the 20, six received motorcycles, four got Washing machines, six television sets and four other received DVD players.
