Post master shot dead in Samastipur

Samastipur, Nov 01 (UNI) A Post Master was shot dead and his brother was injured by unidetified criminals at Rewaridhala village under Angarghat Police Station area in the district tonight.

Police said that criminals opened fire on Ashok Kumar, post master of Itwarpur Post Office, and his brother J J Lal Rai when they were on way to Supaul Village under Angarghat Police Station area. Mr Kumar died on the spot while Mr Rai sustained serious injuries in the shoot-out.

Mr Rai had been admitted to a local hospital, police said adding raids were being carried out to nab the criminals.
