Mah doesn't need certificate from Bihar: Thakre
Mumbai, Nov 1 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Manikrao Thakre today defended the actions of the state government on the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar issue.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Thakre said the leaders from Bihar and UP should instead bother about law and order situation in their states, which is quite good in Maharashtra.
Denying the charge that the Congress was clandestinely supporting the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray's cause, the MPCC chief said ''The Congress has its own agenda and needs no such issue.'' He said Mr Thackeray would be advised to help maintain harmony in the state and in the country.
The Leader of the Opposition Ramdas Kadam, in a separate press conference, said the Shiv Sena under the leadership of Bal Thackeray had created a solid front of the Marathi 'manoos' and Mr Thackeray will not be successful in splitting this force.
