HM militant arrested from Jammu Railway Station
Jammu, Nov 1 (UNI) Police and troops of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) arrested one militant of Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin (HM) from Railway Station here this evening, police sources said.
'' The HM top militant identified as Farooq Ahmed Bhat alias Najeebullah, son of Abdul Rehman Bhat, resident of Rasoo, Budgam, was apprehended by the 72 Battalion CRPF and state police when he was roaming under suspicious circumstances at railway station,'' police sources told UNI.
The militant, however, during interrogation revealed that he crossed over to Pakistan in 2001 from Doipora in Kupwara district of Srinagar and was trained in using weapons.
''He stayed in the Lipa Valley in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and attained expertise in guerrilla war and using modern weapons,'' sources said, adding that he today reached here via Nepal with an aim to set up the HM network in Jammu.
On reaching Jammu, however, he was noticed by the the security forces and was arrested, later he identified himself as a top HM militant, they said.
