45 candidates file nomination
Bilaspur, Nov 1 (UNI) Altogether 45 candidates filed their nominations for nine Assembly seats in Bilaspur district for the second phase of Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh slated to take place on November 20.
Civic Bodies Minister Amar Agrawal, who will contest for the third time on BJP ticket from Bilaspur seat, filed his nomination papers with much fanfare.
Education Minister Krishnamurty Bandhi filed his nomination from Masturi (SC), while BJP MP Punnulal Mohle filed his nomination again today.
Congress leader and former Assembly Deputy Speaker Dharamjeet Singh also filed his nomination. He will file the papers again later after the Congress announces ticket.
Rest nominations were of other political parties and independents.
Last day of filing nomination for the second phase is November 3, while scrutiny would take place the next day. Withdrawal of names could be done by November 6, and counting would be held on December 8.
