21 dead, 36 injured as bus plunges into ravine in Raigad Dist
Mumbai, Nov 1 (UNI) At least 21 people were killed and 36 others sustained injuries when a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus fell into a deep ravine at Ghoshanghat near Masale village in Raigad district, about 180 km from here, today.
The Raigad police control room sources said the incident occurred at about 1100 hrs, when the driver of the bus lost control at a turning in the ghat. As a result, the bus fell in the ravine.
The bus was on its way to Divynagar depot from the neighbouring Thane district, the sources added.
