Mumbai, Oct 31: Raj Thackeray, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) supremo was granted special permission by Court to address the media on Friday, Oct 31. Mumbai Police had earlier imposed a 'gag order' on Raj. He was also banned by the Court from addressing public rally. Raj told to press persons that he will not oppose Chhat Puja. "Some anti-social elements are using the occasion to create divide and violence". MNS will not stop Chhat Puja, Raj said. He added that festivals should be celebrated without politics.

When asked about the attack on non-Maharashtrians, Raj Thackeray said that he and his party is still against non-Maharashtrians. " I am still against migrants who don't know Marathi". When a UP person is lynched in a train, it is being questioned and probe is ordered, people are arrested. But when Biharis are killed in Assam no probe is ordered." "No one protested when Marathi youths are targeted."

He said that he was never for violence. "Nobody likes violence but it is being imposed. I am not opposed to any religion. Anti-social elements are exploiting the situation. I never opposed Ram Lila in Shivaji Park. I don't want to comment anything that will incite violence. Maharashtra politicans are mum."

When asked about the Mumbai shootout which lead to the death of a Bihari youth Rahul Raj, Raj Thackeray said that police did not know that Rahul was from Bihar.
