Two militants nabbed, bomb found in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 30 (UNI) Troops of 12 MARATHA LI of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched an operation today at Takyel , Bishenpur district and apprehended the Finance Secretary of Kanglei yawol kanna Lup (KYKL).

The apprehendee revealed that he has been discharging duty as Finance Secretary of KYKL since Apr 2008 the PRO of AR said. The apprehendee has been identified as Longjam Anand Singh .The apprehendee has been handed over to Nambol Police Station.

In another incident, troops of 34 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation in general area Thoubal Bazar and apprehended one Kangleipak Communist Party KCP (MC) (Lanheiba group) cadre today.

Meanwhile troops of the 88 battalion of BSF today found a bomb at Pechu Chinglak, Yairipok, Thoubal district. Police said it was safely detonated by bomb experts.
