'Rashtriya Sankalp Diwas' observed in HP

Shimla, Oct 31 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh today remembered former Prime mininster Indira Ghandi on her 24th death anniversary.

The day was observed as ''Rashtriya Sankalp Diwas'' in the state and the function was organised at Indira Gandhi Park on the Ridge maiden.

Himachal Pradesh Governor Prabh Rau paid floral tributes at the statue of Mrs Gandhi. Congress Legislature Party leader Vidya Stokes was present on this occasion.

Later, Shimla Additional Deputy Commissioner Prianka Basu administered the oath of unity and harmony to school children.

Similar programmes were held at Hamirpur, Kangra, Dhera and Keylong in the state to mark the occasion.
