PPPAC approves 2 Port projects under PPP

New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) The government today said the Eighteenth Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC) meeting, chaired by Economic Affairs Secretary Ashok Chawla, has granted final approval to two proposals of Department of Shipping.

''These are construction of the Deep Drought Coal Berth and construction of Deep Drought Iron Ore berth at Paradip Port on BOT basis,'' an official statement said here.

Since its constitution in January 2006, the PPPAC has granted approval to 66 projects.

These include Highways (Fifty-six projects), Ports (six projects), Airports (two projects), Tourism Infrastructure (one project) and Railways (one project).
