Militants using Nepal to enter India, 3 arrested with Pak passport
Srinagar, Oct 31 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police today said militants are now using the Nepal route to enter India on Pakistani passports.
This came to light after the police arrested three locals with Pakistani passports, who had entered via Nepal, and reached Kashmir recently.
The arrested had gone across the border to Pakistan for receiving arms training many years ago and returned recently via Nepal.
A police spokesman said this afternoon that the police and 31 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) laid a naka at the main chowk, Awantipora, on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway following a tip off.
During the naka, the three people Shafeeq Ahmad Shah, Mohammad Shafi Shah and Reyaz Ahmad Mir were questioned.
He said during their frisking, Pakistani passports and identity cards were recovered from their possession.
