Medvedev condemns Assam blasts
Moscow, Oct 31 (UNI) Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in a telegram to President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has condemned the terrorist acts in Assam, the Kremlin press service reported today.
''With the feeling of deep indignation, I learnt about several coordinated terrorist acts in Assam, which killed dozens of civilians,'' Medvedev said in the message of condolence to Ms Patil and Dr Singh.
''Such inhumane and awfully cruel crimes cannot be justified.
Those terrorists, who committed this barbaric act, should be punished severely,'' the Russian leader said.
''Accept my sincere condolences over these events. I ask you to convey the words of sympathy and support to relatives of those killed and injured in this tragedy,'' Medvedev said.
