HP to setup 28,000 poly houses in state
Kangra, Oct 31 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government will setup more than 28,000 poly houses in the state incuring an expenditure of Rs 155 crore.
Of these 4600 poly houses had been sanctioned for this district, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said after unveiling the 61 feet statue of Lord Shiva installed by Sant Baba Fakir Chand in Jai Maa Ashram Sug Bhotli in the Fatehpur block of the district today.
Prof Dhumal said that the government was making efforts to strengthen agriculture sector and various schemes were being implemented for the farmers so that they could strengthen their economy by growing cash crops.
Later he participated in the 125th Rigveda Havan organised by Sant Baba Fakir Chand and offered prayers.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dhumal said that religious ashrams were playing a significant role in promoting brotherhood in societ. He said that the educational institutions being run by the Sug Bhotli Asharam were imparting quality education to the youth of the area.
