Kerala: Forest personnel trap leopard

Kozhikode, Oct 31: A leopard that caused panic among the people, was trapped by Forest Department personnel, at Kallai in this district of Kerala.

The feline was grabbed when it attempted to attack a goat tied in a iron cage set by the Department at Dutsaw Mill Road around 0100 hrs.

The local people had reported that they had traced footprints of a feline at various places in the locality prompting the authorities to take necessary steps to trap it.

The Department personnel, who took the animal to Thamarassery Range Office, said it would be released into Muthanga forest later in the day.
