Finance ministers to deliberate on VAT related issues

Chandigarh, Oct 31 (UNI) A meeting of the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers will be held here on November 3 to discuss VAT and other related issues.

The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of West Bengal Finance Minister Asim K Dasgupta, a spokesman for the Haryana Excise and Taxation Department said today.

A meeting of State Finance Ministers, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries (Finance/ Taxation) and Commissioner of Trade Taxation will also be held on the same day, he said.

Giving details of the agenda of the meetings, he said the latest position of VAT revenue and VAT and CST compensation, references received from Central government would be reviewed in these meetings.

The views of the Central government on the GST Model and Roadmap, the latest position of issue of C form and progress made in the implementation of TINXSYS wILL be also be discussed in the meeting, he added.
