Cong announces 117 candidates for MP

Bhopal, Oct 31 (UNI) The Congress today released its first list of 117 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls, party sources said.

Prominent among the nominees were Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Jamuna Devi, Deputy Speaker Hazarilal Raghuvanshi, former Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief Subhash Yadav, Youth Congress state President Jitu Patwari, Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh's son Ajay Singh and senior Congress leader Harvansh Singh.

The list was announced in New Delhi by Central Election Committee in-charge Oscar Fernandes.
