Ahmedabad NGO condemns Guwahati blasts
Ahmedabad, Oct 31 (UNI) Condemning the serial bomb blasts that took place in Guwahati in which 66 people were killed and over 400 injured, an Ahmedabad-based NGO has demanded that those responsible be brought to book immediately.
In a press release issued here, the director of NGO 'Prashant', Father Cedric Prakash sympathised with those who have lost their loved ones in the blasts and said, ''Terrorism is the weapon of cowards. Any act of violence has no place in the efforts to build a more humane, just and peaceful society. The escalating violence in various parts of the country is a cause of great concern.'' The NGO has also alleged that some political parties were encouraging terrorist activities, saying ''This is extremely dangerous for the future of our country'', he said.
