Six killed, 22 injured in Doda minibus accident
Doda, Oct 30 (UNI) Six passengers were killed and 22 others injured when a rashly-driven minibus rolled down to Chenab river side in Doda district today, police said.
The minibus, on its way to Pul Doda from Thathri in the district, met with an accident when it was just five km away from its destination.
However, the vehicles got held near by the river. ''Had it been plunged into Chenab river, the fatal casualties would have been more,'' sources said.
''Rash driving is said to be the cause of the accident,'' police said.
Victims were immediately shifted to the District Hospital Doda by Army and locals, police said, adding, nine of the injured were referred to the Government Medical College, Jammu.
