One dead in road accident in Bihar

Samastipur, Oct 30: A cyclist was killed on the spot after he was hit by a speeding vehicle at Sadarganj near here today.

Police said the incident occurred when the cyclist, identified as one Ranjit Kumar, was hit from behind by a speeding car, while he was returning home from work.

The body was sent for post-mortem and no arrest had been made, since the car fled the spot immediately after the incident, police added.

Efforts were on to nab the culprit and a case had been registered in the local police station, according to police.
