Nine held for murder in clash

Puducherry, Oct 30 (UNI) Police today arrested nine people in connection with the murder of Subramaniyan of Pillayarkuppampet in a clash two days ago.

Subbramaniyan was hacked to death and nearly 18 others were injured in a clash between the supporters of former minister P Rajavelu and present minister M Kandasamy.

Police also arrested another five persons in connection with the murder of a youth Jagadeesh (26) in D Nagar police limit two days back.
