Lankan Tamils relief fund crosses Rs three crore
Chennai, Oct 30 (UNI) The contributions to the Sri Lankan Tamils Relief Fund has crossed Rs three crore mark on the third day today.
Contributions were pouring in and reached Rs 3,25,30,537 after Chief Minister M Karunanidhi launched the collection with his personal contribution of Rs ten lakh on October 28.
An official release here said Sivanthi Adityan, Director of Daily Thanthi and S Jagathratchagan, Chancellor of Bharat University contributed Rs ten lakh each to the fund.
Actor Nayanthara, Fire Service Personnel and Industrialists Pradeep D Kothari and N Jayamurugan donated Rs five lakh each, while Industrialist Nalli Kuppusamy and KCB Packagings donated Rs two lakhs each, the release added.
