DHD Dhimasa condemns blasts, denies its involvement
New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) Assam-based militant outfit Dima Halim Daoga (DHD) Dhimasa strongly condemned the serial blasts in Assam which claimed nearly 48 lives and left more than 300 people wounded and described it as the handiwork of foreign millitant groups operating in the State.
Talking to UNI over phone from some unknown place in Assam, the outfit's chairman Dilip Nunisa said it could not be the handiwork of any one group as the blasts had taken place almost simultaneously at eighteen places, including six places in the capital, Guwahati.
He said,'' It only shows the complete failure of our intelligence network in this part of the country and for that the State Government and the Centre both were equally responsible.'' Mr Nunisa, however, denied involvment of his group in today's blasts.
He said to a great extent the presence of illegal migrants in the State was responsible for the situation as they had pushed the indigenous people and tribals out of their land making the place more vulnerable and ''neither the Centre nor the State Government is taking any strong step to tackle this situation.''
