Cabinet discusses internal security in wake of Assam blasts

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) The Union Cabinet is today understood to have discussed the internal security situation in the country in the wake of serial blasts in Assam.

The Cabinet, at its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, is also believed to have discussed the law and order situation in Maharashtra arising out of the attack on North Indians in Mumbai.

The Cabinet also cleared the scheduled items on its agenda, briefing for which will be held tomorrow morning.
