BJP's first list for MP likely to be out tomorrow
Bhopal, Oct 30 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party's first list of candidates for the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls is likely to be released tomorrow.
The State Election Committee had a roughly eight-hour-long marathon meeting here today.
BJP General Secretary and state in-charge Ananth Kumar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP state President Narendra Singh Tomar, General Secretary (Organisation) Makhan Singh Chouhan and other office-bearers were present.
Consensus was arrived over about 150 seats while two to three-name panels were readied for others -- the total being 230.
Party sources did not confirm or deny that controversial ministers and MLAs were left out of the panels.
The leaders left for Delhi tonight. The names would be deliberated on at a Central Election Committee meeting at Delhi tomorrow.
With the issuance of notification tomorrow for the November 27 assembly hustings, the process of submitting nomination papers would get underway. The main opposition Congress is yet to release its list of nominees.
