Beer-laden lorry overturns

Puducherry, Oct 30(UNI) A beer-laden mini-lorry met with an accident at Sultanpet near Villianur here today, spilling beer on the road.

Police said driver of the lorry Rajendran applied sudden brake to avoid his vehicle hitting another van in front, which applied brake.

Rajendran, however, lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.

Several cases of tin-beer were thrown out of the vehicle and many were broken.

All on a sudden people from the surrounding areas took away the unbroken tin-beers and within a short span of time the entire cases were emptied by the public.
