Trading with Bangladesh likely to be hampered
Bangaon, Oct 29 (UNI) International trading with neighbouring Bangladesh through land port here in North 24 Parganas is likely to be hampered with the truck operators and clearing agents going on ceasework from November one.
The operators and agents under at least ten organisations decided to go on ceasework to protest the recent hike in parking charges at Central Warehouse complex near Petrapol corridor.
President of the Petrapol Clearing Agents Welfare Association Swapan Sett today said truck operators had already resented the hike of parking charges for each truck to Rs 75 from Rs 60 per day.
Central Warehouse authorities had issued notice at the complex here in this respect, he said.
Normally, nearly 1000 trucks are parked daily at the warehouse parking lot, he added.
