JK: Army rifleman dies mysteriously

Srinagar Oct 29: A rifleman died under mysterious circumstances in an Army unit in the frontier district of Kupwara, official sources said today.

They said Javed Ahmad Rather of Territorial Army (TA), attached with the 30 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), was found dead in his unit at Handwara in the north Kashmir.

The deceased, a resident of Vilgam, had died due to bullet wounds, official sources said, adding, police have registered a case and investigations were on.

It was not immediately clear how he received the bullet wounds, they added.
