Rains likely in Andaman
Pune, Oct 29 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
They are also likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Lakashadweep, and at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Mainly dry weather will prevail in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and coastal Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand. They were above normal in Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of Chhattisgarh, coastal and south interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. They were below normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and of Saurtashtra. They were normal over the rest of the country.
The night temperatures were markedly below normal in Telangana, Rayalseema and interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal in some parts of interior Orissa, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu, and were below normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, south Madhya Pradesh, south Gujarat region, Konkan, Chhattisgarh and north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
They were markedly above normal in Haryana and Rajasthan, and appreciably above normal in some parts of Manipur and Himachal Pradesh. They were above normal in Punjab and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and north-west Madhya Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.
