Mild earthquake hits Jhajjar of Haryana

New Delhi, Oct 29: A moderate intensity earthquake, measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale hit Haryana nearly two hours before a temblor of moderate intensity struck southwest Pakistan. The Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) said in a release that the quake at Jhajjar occurred at 0200 hrs IST with the epicentre at latitude 28.8N and longitude 76.7E.

The quake in Pakistan took place at 0440 hrs with a magnitude of 6.3 on the Richter scale. The epicentre was at latitude 30.7N and longitude 67.4 E, the IMD said.
