57 nomination papers cancelled in C'garh
Raipur, Oct 29 (UNI) The nomination papers of 57 candidates were rejected during scrutiny today for the first phase of polling to 39 assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh on November 15.
State Deputy Election Officer Arvind Dikshit said 22 nomination papers were rejected in Durg, 10 in Bastar, six each in Rajnandgaon and Kanker, four in Mahasamund, three in Kawardha, two each in Narayanpur and Dhamtari and one each in Dantewara and Bijapur.
Meanwhile, 26 nomination papers were filed in eight districts for the second phase of polling on November 20. No nomination was filed from Jashpur, Koriya and Sarguja districts.
