5-year old child dies after falling into bonfire on Diwali
Fazilka, Oct 29 (UNI) A 5-year old boy was killed when he fell into a bonfire lighted on the occasion of Diwali at Bahda village, near here last night, police sources today said.
They said the victim, Shanjit, son of a migrant labourer fell into the bonfire outside his 'jhuggi' while he was watching other children lighting fire crackers.
The boy, who received severe burn injuries, was rushed to the civil hospital here. He died this afternoon.
The police after completing all the legal formalities handed over the dead body to the parents of the child.
